Google offers text ads, image ads, and is expanding into other media like radio with voice ads and
newspaper.
Affiliate programs
Website owner can place ads, reviews or endorsements on their website for visitors to read. When
the visitor clicks on an affiliate link, they are taken to another website owned by an affiliate marketer or
vendor.
If the visitor buys something while on the site, the vendor pays a commission to the ownewr of the
website the visitor came from.
The vendor does not pay anything to the website owner until someone who came from that website buys
something.

Banner Advertising
These small graphic or video advertisements that are generally square or rectangular in shape. They
appear on many different kinds of webpages and websites, but they all share the same purpose: when a visitor clicks
on one, the visitor is taken to the landing page of an advertiser's website.
Banner ads are often sold and packaged through advertising clearinghouses or networks like
ValueClick and Google Adwords.
A webmaster would simply place some HTML code, generated automatically by the network, in the space
where ad will appear.
If you're an advertiser, you buy banner ads. If you're a webmaster, you place them on your website
and use them to generate revenue.
